Use these lyrics to help sing along with the video in the “Hear It Read” – because it’s a song, some syllables get slurred together to keep the rhythm.  I tried to write it in a way that splits the words into the syllables of the song.

Ba-ba gay-ya em-ta? – When is Baba coming?

Gay-ya saa-‘a sit-ta – He’s coming at 6 o’clock.

Raa-kib wul-la ma-shee. – Is he riding or walking?

Raa-kib biss-ki-let-tee. – He’s riding a bicycle.

Bay-Duh wul-lah Hum-ra? – Is it white or red?

Bay-Duh zay al-‘ish-Taw – It’s white like cream.

Wuss-s’aow-oo-loo sik-ka – Widen the track for him.

Wu-Dra-boo-looh sa-laam – and salute him

Hear this book read aloud.

There is one difference between the book and this video. For the page with the bicycles they sing "red or white" (hum-ra wul-lah bay-Dah) instead of how it's written in the book "white or red" (bay-Dah wul-lah hum-ra).
