إنتي أمي؟
In- tee om-mee?
A mother bird sat on her egg. The egg jumped.
رقدت الماما عصفورة على البيضة تاعتها و صارت البيضة تنط
Ruck-dut al-ma-ma ‘ahss-foo-ra ‘al bay-da taa-’ait-ha oo saw-rut al-bay-da t’nuT.

“I must get something for my baby bird to eat!” she said. So away she went.
قالت الماما عصفورة لازم أجيب أكل لل بيبي عصفور قبل ما يطلع من البيضة.راحت تدور على أكل
Ah-lat al-ma-ma ‘ahss-foo-ra “laa-zim ah-jeeb ah-kil lill baby ‘ahss-foor a’bil ma yiT-l’aa min al-bayda. ra-Hit i-dow-war ‘al-a ah-kil.

Inside the nest, the egg jumped. It jumped & jumped & jumped. Until…out came a baby bird.
في العش البيضة نطت ..و نطت و نطت …و بعدين طلع البيبي عصفور من البيضة
Fill-’aosh al-bay-da nuh-Tawt. . .wa nuh-Tawt oo ba’a-dayn Tul-la’a al-bay-bee ‘ahss-foor min’l bay-da.

“Where is my mother?” he said. He did not see her anywhere. “I will go and look for her,” he said.
وين امي ؟ تطلع البيبي عصفور حواليه و ما لقيها..قال البيبي عصفور أنا رايح أدور على امي

Out of the nest he went. Down, down, down! Plop!
قام من العش وقع تحت تحت تحت …دج
A’m-min’l ‘aoosh wa’e-’aa taHt taHt taHt . . .dujj

The baby bird could not fly. But he could walk. “Now I will go and find my mother,” he said.
البيبي عصفور لسا ما بعرف يطير ،بس بعرف يمشي!
قال البيبي عصفور هلأ راح أدور على امي.
al-baby ‘ahss-foor liss-sa ma b’aa-riff yi-Teer bess b’aa-riff yim-shee. Ahl al-baby ‘ahss-foor hal-la’ raH i-dow-wir ‘a-la im-mee.

“Are you my mother?” the baby bird asked the kitten. The kitten just looked and looked. It did not say a thing.
شاف البيبي عصفور بسه، سألها: إنت إمي ؟تطلعت البسه على بيبي عصفور و تطلعت، بس ما قالت ولا شي
Shaaf al-baby ‘ahss-foor biss-seh. sa-a’l-ha“ In-tee im-mee?”,. Tul-aat al-biss-seh ‘al baby ‘ahss-foor. Wa Tul-aat, bess ma ah-laat wul-la shee.

“Are you my mother?” the baby bird asked a hen. “No,” said the hen.
شاف البيبي عصفور جاجه، سألها: إنت إمي؟ قالت الجاجه لا
Shaaf al-baby ‘ahss-foor jaa-jeh. , sa-a’l-ha “ In-tee im-mee?”. A-laat aj-jaa-jeh, “Laa”.

“Are you my mother?” the baby bird asked a dog. “I am not your mother. I am a dog,” said the dog.
شاف البيبي عصفور كلب ،سأله :إنت إمي؟ قال الكلب أنا مو امك أنا كلب
Shaaf al-baby ‘ahss-foor kelb. Sa-a’-loo, “ In-ta im-mee?”. A’l al-kelb, “ah-na moo im-mack. ah-na kelb.”

“Are you my mother?” the baby bird asked a cow. “How could I be your mother?” said the cow. “I am a cow.”
شاف البيبي عصفور بقرة ،سألها :إنت إمي؟ قالت البقرة لا كيف ممكن أكون امك؟أنا بقرة
Shaaf al-baby ‘ahss-foor ba-a’-ra. sa-a’l-ha, “ In-tee im-mee?”. A’l-aat al-ba-a’-ra, “laa, ah-na keef moom-kin, a’-koon im-mick? Ah-na ba-a’-ra.

The baby bird stopped to think. The kitten and the hen were not his mother.
وقف البيبي عصفور و فكر: البسه والدجاجه ما كانوا إمه
Wa’-iff al-baby ‘ahss-foor oo fack-irr. Al-biss-seh wal jaa-jeh ma ka-noo im-moo.

The dog and the cow were not his mother.
الكلبه والبقرة ما كانوا إمه
Al kelb wil ba-a’-ra ma ka-noo im-moo.

“I have a mother,” said the baby bird. “I know I do. I will find her. I will. I WILL!
لكن البيبي عصفور قال: أنا عندي إم، أكيد عندي إم. رح ألاقيها،رح ألاقي إمي
La-kin al-baby ‘ahss-foor a’l, “ah-na ‘an-dee im. Ah-keed ‘an-dee im. RaH a’-la’-ee-ha. raH a’-la’-ee im-mee.

Just then the baby bird saw a big thing. “You are my mother!” he said.
شاف البيبي عصفور شي كتير كبير .سأل إنت إمي.
Shaaf al-baby ‘ahss-foor shee ikteer ikbeer. Sa-a’l, “in-ta im-mee!”

But the big thing made a scary and annoying sound.
الشي الكبير عمل صوت مخيف و مزعج.
ash-shee al-ik-beer ‘a-mal Sowt mo-kheef oo mu-za-’aijj.
——-
“Oh, no!” said the baby bird. You are not my mother. You are big and scary!” The big thing lifted the baby bird up, up up.
قال البيبي عصفور :أوه لا لا إنت مو إمي،إنت شي كبير و مخيف
فجأة ه الشي الكبير و مخيف رفع البيبي عصفور لفوق فوق فوق
A’l al-baby ‘ahss-foor, “Oh! Laa, laa! In-tee moo Im-mee. In-ta shee ik-beer oo mo-kheef. Faj-a ash-shee al-ka-beer oo mo-kheef ra-fa-’a al-baby ‘ahss-foor li-fo’ fo’ fo’

Then something happened. The Snort put the baby bird right back in the tree. The baby bird was home!
رفعه فوق و حطه بعش ع الشجرة و هاد العش هوه بيت البيبي عصفور.فصار البيبي عصفور ببيته

إنت مو بسه ولا دجاجه ولا كلب ، انت مو بقرة ولا شي كبير و مخيف. إنت عصفورة و إنت هي إمي
