As your child is starting to know the letters and sounds, this tool is a great way to learn how the letters connect and start making words.
- Showing them their name is always a hit.
- Letting them string random letters together and then sounding them out is a good way to get a laugh and have them feel in control.
- If they are learning letter placement, pick a section (e.g. initial letters) and then ask your child to find you the letter (e.g. find me م – meem as it looks at the beginning of the word.)
- If you have arabic flashcards you could ask your child to match the word on the card – or draw a word and ask them to find the matching letters.
