Her journey started after joining a permaculture course in Palestine for two weeks. Afterwards\, she took a trip to Spain for a year to volunteer and learn from different farms and projects and then came back to Palestine to join a research group to study wild perennial plants. In 2018\, Yara became part of the Om Sleiman team and has been a part of it ever since.
