SUMMARY:Seattle: Shut It Down for Palestine
DESCRIPTION:🚨SEATTLE: SHUT IT DOWN FOR PALESTINE THIS SATURDAY 1/20 🇵🇸 \nAs part of the international day of action to #shutitdown4palestine\, we will be demonstrating at the U-District light rail station to denounce the links between the publicly-funded Sound Transit and multinational conglomerate\, Siemens\, who works to enhance Israeli occupation and colonisation in Palestine. \nOver $118\,000\,000 of our state taxes already directly fund the Israeli military\, but unfortunately\, our taxes and economy are even more intertwined with Zionist occupation and U.S. imperialism. In 2016/2017\, Sound Transit entered into a $714\,718\,000 contract with Siemens to acquire 152 light rail vehicles. This is despite the fact that another company can produce the same vehicles and is not actively breaking international law by supporting Israeli occupation and colonialism. \nRight now\, the Sound Transit board is in the process of acquiring 10 more light rail vehicles from Siemens at the cost of over $96 million dollars\, paid for by our tax dollars! \n* We demand an end to the Sound Transit contracts with Siemens!\n* Sound Transit\, cut ties with genocide!\n* End all U.S. aid to Israel!\n* Immediate ceasefire on Gaza!\n* End the Siege on Gaza!\n* Release all Palestinian prisoners!\n* End the occupation!

SUMMARY:PCC Cooking Class: Palestinian Levantine Table
DESCRIPTION:Bring the foods of Palestine\, Lebanon and Syria together learning to make Chef Hend’s deep-rooted family recipes. Make handmade Taboon\, a yeasted flatbread that is essential for the table. Build the spice combination to make Musakhan\, a flavorful chicken dish made to serve atop your taboon. For a bite of sweetness\, learn to make Atayef\, pillowy stuffed pancakes that are a delight to celebrate. This class is brimming with unique recipes and essential Middle Eastern ingredients to bring to your kitchen. \nWith dairy\, nuts\, and poultry. \nAbout the instructor: After cooking in Michelin Star restaurants and high volume catering events\, I made a “temporary” switch to teaching cooking classes. However\, the satisfaction and unique experience I received from teaching convinced me that this was my new culinary path. I am a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu\, where I mainly focused on French and Western technique\, but I have deep roots in Middle-Eastern cuisine and an enthusiastic\, developed passion for Japanese cuisine. In my travels I seek out to learn something new\, and for me\, the more specific and obscure\, the better. My interests and abilities continue to range out further\, as long as I can do it\, I will teach it. \n\n\n\nEDMONDS PCC\n\n\nMonday\, January 29\, 6:00 – 8:00 pm \nREGISTER FOR CLASS  \n\n\n\nGREEN LAKE VILLAGE PCC\n\n\nMonday\, January 22\, 6:00 – 8:00 pm \nREGISTER FOR CLASS  \n\n\n\nISSAQUAH PCC\n\n\nMonday\, February 12\, 6:00 – 8:00 pm \nREGISTER FOR CLASS  \n\n\n\nREDMOND PCC\n\n\nSunday\, January 21\, 4:00 – 6:00 pm \nREGISTER FOR CLASS
