SUMMARY:ArabishWay Circle Time Series (2019-2020)
DESCRIPTION:Bring your little one down and join Laila for a circle time that will have songs\, stories and activities all in Arabic followed by snack and craft time. \nWe will meet once each month and each month will have a theme: (September: alphabet\, October: numbers\, etc.) and the books\, songs and activities will correlate with this theme. \nCircle time is great for non-native speakers who want to expose their child to another language as well as native speakers who want to expose their children to Arabic outside of the home.  It’s also been a great place for people to meet and get to know other families. \nWe will have the meeting room from 10am – 11:30am.  The circle time will run from 10:30am-11:00am followed by informal snack/craft which can be done in class or completed at home. \nRepeats monthly on the 2nd Thursday of the month until February then March through June will be the 1st Thursday of the month. \nThis circle time is geared towards toddlers and early preschool but all ages are welcome and will enjoy the activities!

SUMMARY:Left on Yellow Brick Road
DESCRIPTION:Left on Yellow Brick Road\nDates: February 13–February 16\, 2020\nRun time: TBD\nLocation: Lalie Theatre \nSherif Amin is the first Egyptian to perform a solo show at ACT. \nWhen a boy from Egypt unexpectedly finds himself in the Land of Oz\, he travels to a place past the Emerald City where he stays. Soon he starts to wonder\, is it better to stay in Oz or find his way back? \nSherif Amin explores the ugly side of love and heartbreak through the technicolored glasses of an American classic. Left on Yellow Brick Road digs deep into cyclical patterns we try to hide when we lose ourselves and our sense of home. \nThis performance will be double billed with Jasmine Joshua’s Bread Crumbs.

SUMMARY:Arabic Language Meetup - Seattle
DESCRIPTION:تعالوا لكأس قهوة و محادثة!\nOur annual membership fee is coming up and if you are able we’d love any contribution you have towards it! Funds will solely be used to pay for the membership fee. I’m setting a suggested donation of $5 for this event\, but don’t feel pressured if you’re unable. Regardless whether you can donate or not\, we’d still love to have you at the event :). \nWith that out of the way\, I played a game at my kid’s parent meeting that I thought might be fun for us to play (in arabic of course). It’s called “fishbowl”\, you can read more about it here https://funattic.com/how-to-play-fishbowl-game/. I’ll bring a container\, paper and a few pens with me.
