Children ages 2-6 and their parents are invited to tune in as resident storyteller Sari Mira reads the books Ten Ways to Hear Snow and The World Is Not A Rectangle in both English and Arabic. \nTen Ways to Hear Snow written by Cathy Camper and illustrated by Kenard Pak\, follows Lina who wakes up on winter morning to silence. It’s the sound of snow; as she walks to her grandmother’s house to help make the family recipe for warak enab\, she continues to listen\, discovering mindfulness\, empathy\, and what we realize when the world gets quiet. \nThe World Is Not a Rectangle: A Portrait of Architect Zaha Hadid written and illustrated by Jeanette Winter\, is a nonfiction picture book about the famed Iraqi architect’s life and her triumph over adversity. \n\n\nThe Storytime will go up at 1 p.m. EDT on Monday\, April 26 on our Storytime page\, where you can also check out previous Online Storytimes.
