SUMMARY:Palestinian-Led State Advocacy Day at the Capitol
DESCRIPTION:Join Washington for Peace and Justice and Jewish Voice for Peace-Seattle  \nfor the third annual Palestinian-led advocacy day  \non Thursday\, February 5th at the Capitol in Olympia\, WA \nA so-called “ceasefire” alone isn’t enough. We’re demanding justice for Aysenur\, challenging the impunity Israel continues to enjoy\, and pushing for ethical investment that has material impact. In a time of rising authoritarianism\, defending free speech matters more than ever. \nWe’re heading to Olympia to raise our voices as constituents and urge our elected representatives to take decisive steps towards advancing peace\, justice\, and equity for Palestine. This is an opportunity to stand united and demonstrate the strength of our community and allyship. \nOn February 5th\, we will convene at the Olympia Capitol to urge our state legislators to take action to: \n\nChampion justice for Aysenur Ezgi Eygi\,\nOppose legislation that employs anti-Palestinian racism to undermine our first amendment rights\, and\nAdopt ethical investment standards so our pensions\, college savings accounts\, and long-term care funds help build an equitable\, sustainable\, and just future for all rather than supporting the abuses we abhor.
