DESCRIPTION:sudansolidaritycollective \nGoing back to back weeks this month\, we bring you the next #Workshops4Sudan\, our first collaborative workshop with long-term friends and award-winning poets and writers Safia Elhillo and Jamaica Heolimeleikalani Osorio.  \nThey will be joining us to speak to their friendship with each other\, transnational solidarity and relationships between Sudan and Hawaii\, furthering their expressions of home and also share some of their lovely poetry!  \nSudanese by way of Washington D.C.\, @safiamafia is the author of Girls That Never Die\, The January Children\, Home Is Not a Country\, and Bright Red Fruit\, and co-editor of the anthology Halal If You Hear Me. \nDr. @jamaicaosorio is a Kanaka Maoli wahine artist / activist / scholar / educator / storyteller born and raised in Pālolo Valley\, Hawaiʻi. She is an Associate Professor of Indigenous and Native Hawaiian Politics at the University of Hawaiʻi\, an internationally recognized poet\, subject of an award-winning film\, This is the Way we Rise.  \nWe highly encourage you to sign up ASAP!
