SUMMARY:Author Talk at Fremont Abbey: Falastin
DESCRIPTION:SAMI TAMIMI & TARA WIGLEY:  AUTHOR TALK AT FREMONT ABBEY: FALASTIN\n\nat Fremont Abbey\n\n\n\nWe’re thrilled to welcome Sami Tamimi and Tara Wigley to Seattle as we celebrate the release of their new cookbook\, Falastin. Falastin is a soulful tour of Palestinian cooking today from the Ottolenghi restaurants’ executive chef and partner—120 recipes shaped by his personal story as well as the history of Palestine. Sami and Tara visited Palestine together to create the book\, retracing the lineage and evolution of Sami’s country’s cuisine\, born of its agriculturally optimal geography\, its distinct culinary traditions\, and Palestinian cooks’ ingenuity and resourcefulness. \nSami and Tara will be in conversation with Seattle’s own Warren Ethredge at Fremont Abbey\, just up the block from Book Larder.  You’ll enjoy an evening of fascinating conversation\, and take home a signed copy of the book! \nCan’t attend but still want a signed copy of the book? Order it here for shipping or instore pickup. \nThis event is capped at fewer than 250 guests\, so is in compliance with the proclamation issued by Governor Jay Inslee on March 11th. If the event is cancelled\, or you purchase a ticket but cannot attend because of health concerns related to COVID-19\, you’ll be offered a choice of refund or store credit (including the option to keep your copy of the book).  We’ll be in touch a bit closer to the event.  In the meantime\, we hope you are all staying safe and healthy and that our city returns to normal soon!
