DESCRIPTION:Summer berries are ripe! A wilderness walk focused on native berries\, plant recognition\, and indigenous food culture. Relational. Land-based. Politicized 🍒🍓🫐 \nAs always\, this is a container to honor land\, connect\, and expand towards justice and wellness for all. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI offer these walks in the greater context of engaging with the today’s crises: climate\, ecological\, and human people.\nIn our urban lives\, hypnotized by modern culture\, we are disconnected from what truly nurtures us. How can we care and prioritize something\, someone from whom we are disconnected? \nWilderness is not only a place “out there\, far from here”.\nWilderness is everywhere. In us\, around us\, and on a downtown concrete block.\nWhen we got confused about how we are part and not apart\, the destruction began.\nThe wilderness of our towns and cities diminished.\nWe have been blessed with the ability to witness this wilderness and be in choice about how to connect and nurture it.

Bring a plate to share\, clippings from your garden for a centerpiece bouquet and/or an instrument to play. Suzanne has a piano & darbuka!\n.\nYa Hala will be serving refreshing Spritzers for suggested donations. Will have cards\, backgammon sets\, and dominoes on hand\, along with a houka or two… Goal is to pause\, breathe and be together. Yalla\, join us!\n.\nDM Suzanne or Hala for location.
