DESCRIPTION:“Shadow Time: Claire Cowie\, Fay Jones\, and Mary Ann Peters” at studio e\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMay 3\, 2022—June 26\, 2022 | Reception Saturday\, May 14th\, 5-7PM at studio e in Georgetown\, Seattle \nJames Harris Gallery in coordination with studio e is pleased to present a group exhibition titled “Shadow Time.” This cross-generational show features the work of three women who use personal histories as the thematic ideas for their work. “Shadow Time” explores aspects of memory and how it remains buried in the unconscious until a catalyst brings it to the fore. The three artists have deep connections to the Northwest\, and have all worked individually with admiration for one another’s work. They share some commonality\, but mostly each artist’s oeuvre is distinct. DESCRIPTION:Join NADIA TOMMALIEH as she dives into the most famous classical Palestinain family-style dishes and the memories\, stories\, and traditions behind them. You will learn the art of layering and flipping the perfect maqlouba \, a world-renowned showstopper of upside-down chicken with roasted eggplant\, cauliflower\, rice\, and fried nuts). You’ll enjoy it with salatet khodar w t’heeniyeh (tomato\, herb\, and tahini salad); qalayet bandora (spicy tomato\, garlic and herb stir fry); and finish the meal with freshly made knafeh nabulsiya (shredded fine angel hair dough stuffed with sweet cheese and sweetened with orange water syrup and topped with crushed pistachio. \n\nWe are excited to welcome you into our space and would like to remind you of our covid policy. For the safety and comfort of our guests and staff\, we are requiring proof of vaccination and ID to attend in-person events in our space. Please make sure you and your guests know to bring either their vaccination card or a photo of their card as well as their ID. If you have had symptoms of covid or if you have been in close contact with someone with covid in the past 10 days\, please follow the current CDC guidelines. If you are sick\, please stay home.
