Both Wafa Ghnaim and Feryal Ghnaim-Abbasi will be presenting. I am very excited to have them on our campus and can’t wait to have them share their knowledge and craft with the greater campus community. The lecture and workshops are open to the public. The workshops will be held on February 1.

SUMMARY:Mideast Focus Film Series 2019 - Soufra
DESCRIPTION:SOUFRA   (Arabic for “Dining Table”)  \nThe story of women refugees in a refugee camp outside Beirut\, in the world’s oldest refugee camp. The women deal with myriad obstacles as they grow into a community to heal the wounds of war. \nThere will be a light reception prepared by local Syrian refugees\, beginning at 6:15pm. \nin Bloedel Hall \nThe Mideast Focus Ministry will offer its sixth series of films to promote understanding of the situation in Palestine. Our theme this year is “Finding Home”. We will consider various aspects of being a refugee\, in Palestine\, as well as many other places in this 21st century world. We hope to understand more about the experiences of refugees who seek to make a safe home for their families.
