Seffarine

One of the only groups performing in Arabic in the Pacific Northwest, Seffarine’s music braids
musical traditions primarily from Spain and Morocco, but also ranges throughout the Middle
East. Their sets often include songs from medieval Spain (when Christians, Jews, and Muslims
coexisted in relative harmony), narratives of Syrian refugees, and the first meeting of their
founding members, vocalist and recent Oregion Community Foundation Creative Heights
