Arabic Language and Story Time for Young Children w/ Laila Taji from ArabishWay at MPP

April 2, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 8:30 am PDT

Young children ages 2-5 will learn the basics of the Arabic language with a fun theme each month.

About this event

Laila Taji, author of These Chicks and My Grandfather Has a Donkey, uses songs, familiar stories, and fun activities to form a bridge from English to the Arabic language. Each month, and using colloquial dialect, your child will be exposed to songs, stories, and activities based on the theme, 2-4 Arabic letters, and a highlight of one Palestinian city, town, or village. A worksheet will be sent in advance with links to the transliterations and translations of all the stories and songs, as well as the printable activities.

These sessions are free. MPP has a suggested donation of $10. The Museum of the Palestinian People Resilience Monthly Club members who register for these sessions will receive a free copy of These Chicks. Please click here to make a donation or to become a Resilience Monthly Club member.
