Intro to Waste Canvas Tatreez Workshop

(You can attend one or both sections of the workshop – for example, if you are already familiar with Tatreez basics and only want to learn about how to use waste canvas, you can show up at 1:15 for the waste canvas portion.)

We intentionally chose to have this workshop on the Friday after Thanksgiving as a statement and a step towards breaking the cycle of our addiction to consumerism, and re-directing our attention to the things that create true fulfillment in life: community, mutual aid, connection to ancestors, heritage and land, and taking care of one another.

12 – 1:15: Tatreez history/background and Tatreez 101
1:30 – 4 pm: Intro to Waste Canvas
