A Conversation with Omani Ambassador, Dr. Mohamed Al-Hassan
November 2 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm PST
Join us for a conversation and Q&A with UW graduate and diplomat Dr. Mohamed Al-Hassan, Omani Ambassador and former Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations. With extensive experience navigating the US / Iran relationship; representing Oman at the United Nations and serving as the UN representative in Iraq; and leading Oman’s diplomatic mission to Russia, Dr. Al-Hassan brings an insider’s perspective on some of the most difficult diplomatic challenges of the day.
RSVP here. This event is being held in person and via livestream.
This conversation will be moderated by Director of the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies Dr. Danny Hoffman (the man who didn’t stand up for Dr. Aria Fani when he was in the position of Director of the UW Middle East Center) and new Director of the UW Middle East Center, Dr. Asli Cansunar.
