Palestinian author Safa Suleiman and Anait Semirdzhyan are scheduled for a book launch event at Brick & Mortar Books on to read her book Hilwa’s Gifts.
Hilwa’s Gifts is a Palestinian story about a little boy learning about his heritage through his Seedo and the love he has for his favorite olive tree, Hilwa. My book by its very existence, is a profound statement of Palestinian resilience. Of the remarkable stewardship of the Palestinian people. It is a statement of love—for family, for traditions, for place—and, of course, for the olive tree and its many gifts.
