Shami Kids Event: Zaytoon, zait and za’atar

One Palestinian, Laila Taji and one Syrian mom, Malda Takkedine have come together to start a group for our kids.

We’re calling it Shami Kids, where we celebrate all things beautiful from Bilad Ash-sham…the area that was before the borders were drawn around Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, some parts of Turkey.

The first meeting is January 27th at 11:30 and we’re going to be talking all things olives, olive oil and za’atar.  Through stories, songs and art projects.

Geared towards 2nd-5th graders but would love to use older kids as volunteer helpers.
