Juneteenth For Mazie & Our Rainbow: English-Arabic Storytime

Join us for an English-Arabic Storytime in celebration of Juneteenth and Pride Month, from the comfort of your home! Children ages 2-6 and their parents are invited to tune in as resident storyteller Sari Mira reads the books Juneteenth For Mazie & Our Rainbow in both English and Arabic.
Juneteenth For Mazie written and illustrated by Floyd Cooper follows Mazie, who is ready to celebrate liberty, freedom and a great day in American history. The day her ancestors were no longer slaves. Mazie remembers the struggles and the triumph, as she gets ready to celebrate Juneteenth.
Our Rainbow by Little Bee Books teaches young readers all about the meaning of each color of the pride flag. Told in simple, engaging text and paired with bright illustrations, this board book teaches all about the colors of this rainbow and the simple acts of kindness that can brighten up our world.
The Storytime will go up at 1 p.m. EDT on Monday, June 28 on our Storytime page, where you can also check out previous Online Storytimes.
