For this Virtual Delegation, our guide is Mohammed Rafik, a young writer and blogger from We Are Not Numbers. He will take you on a tour around Gaza City, where many of the oldest historical places lie in the Gaza Strip and firmly show Palestinians’ historical connection and right to this land.
You will be introduced to places like the Al Basha Palace, the Great Al Omari Mosque, and the Church of Saint Porphyrius. During the walk around, Mohammed will provide you with some interesting historical information about how these places were constructed and what they mean to the Palestinians in Gaza. We will also walk with Mohammed in the streets of Gaza’s old city and learn more about the people living there.
