Join the Rachel Corrie Foundation at the Olympia-Rafah solidarity mural and reflect on the global history of the art on the leaves with lights, music, and poetry.

SATURDAY OCT. 3, 12–6 PM
12 -2 p.m. Sound, Poetry, Apple pie, and Art Prints
2 – 3 p.m. Installation of new mural leaf to honor Aysenur Eygi and speakers
3 – 4 p.m. Poetry reading, Reading Rachel, Free Palestine Mural voices and Speakers
6 – 7 p.m. Artist talk with John Halaka in the hiring hall:
Bring the whole family and your creative thinking for poetry activities related to the mural and arts presented there.
Write and share your poetry, or read through the eyes of featured Palestinian poets.
Together we will recognize a newly made mural that honors the work and life of Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi.
Witness the debut display of “Doves for Gaza”, a powerful local community art effort of 150+ led by local Palestinians mourning with painted doves and names of children in Gaza.
Ambient sound provided by DJ Treez, spoken word poetry, reading Rachel Corrie’s writing and more speakers join us throughout Saturday.

Evergreen students: the Rachel Corrie Foundation has a Community Service Work Study position this year (fundraising and development, about 8 hours a week, $18.33–$18.67 an hour through your work-study award) and internship learning contracts for winter 2027.
